BioSo I'm currently in recovery for substance abuse and have about a year of sobriety. With my daily reprieve from the obsession to use drugs and alcohol, my obsession with weight, food and body image has sprung up in its place. I'm hoping writing about it might help me see things more clearly.
I am 29 and have some cool jobs. I worked for Club Med resorts immediately after college and got to live in Cancun for 2 years. I have been a Hooters Girl, Coors Light Girl, Cuervo Girl, and a Coyote (Ugly). Then I move to Austin TX and tried to work in the real world, was bad at it, so I started doing drugs, black out drinking and getting skinny. I hit bottom, moved back home with my family am now on my own two shaky feet again.
